Phoenix Suns free agent turned down an offer from the Miami Heat, where he used to play from 2000 to 2003. Instead he agreed to sign a one year 1.5 million dollar deal with the New Jersey Nets where he feels he’ll have more playing time.

After the Miami Heat, House has seen stints with the LA Clippers, Charlotte Bobcats, Milwaukee bucks, Sacramento Kings and the Phoenix Suns. I would have thought that after all the team hopping he’s done he would have found a home with the Suns. I doubt that the Suns decided to let him go so why leave a very good team? I think it’s a team that needs his help more than the Nets too. If House thinks he’s going to have more minutes with the Nets, I think he’s dreaming. Jason Kidd, Vince Carter, sophomore Antoine Wright, and rookie Marcus Williams are names that will take minutes from him. In effect, he’s replacing Zoran Planinic who went back to playing in Europe. He didn’t play much for the Nets either.

Stay put already!
