So I checked the standings and I saw that the Knicks are currently number 8 in the Eastern Conference with a win-loss record of 29-34 (.460). This means that if the playoffs started now, they’ll actually make the playoffs as the last seed in the East. But the playoffs are not starting now and there’s still a lot of time for anything to happen. I knew that the Knicks would improve this year but I never thought they’d reach this far with the way they were playing at the start of the season. But now that I think about it, with the talent they have on that squad they really should be a playoff squad in the first place.

If they manage to maintain and defend their spot to make the playoffs, it would be a very nice feat indeed and a that would make the fans of new York very happy and surprised. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come - that the Knicks will never fall back into the pit they dug themselves into and rise to greatness (even slowly) like the Raptors did this season. Personally I think the city of New York deserves a winning team once again for being such loyal and passionate fans.

If the Pacers keep sliding the Knicks might go even higher! The East is sad, but hey, whatever works for you (Knicks extend Thomas’ contract).

  2. Andre Says:

The players are a bit more motivated to play for him than Larry Brown. Guess he isn’t as bad as I thought.

Andre: Larry Brown’s style as I’ve said so many times in the past does not motivate anyone at all. He wants his way or the highway since he believes he knows what it takes to win. Sure he’s won a lot of games in he past and even won a championship but every team is different and with a team like he had with the Knicks, it needed a lot of coaching flexibility. That’s what Isiah brings to the table. He listens to his players and that is why the players are motivate to play for him - that and the fact that the Knicks want to prove they could dig themselves out of that hole.
