Yao Ming Marries Long Time Girlfriend
The Tony Parker - Eva Longoria wedding may still be the wedding of the year in our eyes but if you ask the Chinese I’m pretty sure they think otherwise. Houston Rockets all star center and Chinese basketball idol Yao Ming finally got married August 6 (Chinese Time of course) to his long time girl friend Ye Li, a 6′2 member of the Chinese National Team for Women’s Basketball.
The wedding was a low key ceremony with with only a limited number of friends and relatives as guests. None of Yao’s team mates or coaches or even NBA officials were invited. The reception was held at Shanghai’s 5 star Shangri-La hotel.
I just want to say congratulations to the newly weds and hope that they have a happy time together. Being married is an added responsibility so I hope they’ll have no problem at all adjusting to married life while still keeping their careers in check. Again, I send my my congratulations!
