Why no A.I. in the Olympics?
Those following the efforts led by Jerry Colangelo to put together a roster for the Olympics in 2008 would know that Allen Iverson was snubbed. A.I is cool with it but the inclusion of Kobe Bryant really makes you wonder about what’s going on. Both are great players in the NBA and both have served their respective franchises well. Yet, you just can’t ignore the fact that the two play very much alike in the sense that both hog the ball and take many (some times too many) of their team’s shots. Not to put down the talent that these two have, but all I am saying is they are both trigger happy shooters who make you wonder if there really are four other teammates on the court.
Why then does Kobe get a guaranteed spot in the team from Colangelo while A.I. doesn’t at least get a consideration? If the philosophy of Team USA is to get team oriented players, A.I. deserves the spot more than Kobe does since he does seem to have a better team game than Kobe does in my opinion. What does Kobe have that A.I doesn’t?
Something is fishy in the state of Denmark…. err rotten
