Reports: Some Big Names To Declare For ‘07 NBA Draft
With the NCAA tournament over but with the NBA playiffs still approaching, the biggest talk is the status of potential prospects for the NBA draft. Here’s some word about the matter and I’m sure the lottery bound teams are hoping they’re true for their own sake.
Word is that top two prospect Kevin Durant will announce that he will declare for the draft in a press conference soon. If this is true, that should give a sigh of relief to the teams looking to select first or second that one of the top prizes of this draft will indeed be available.
Four of the members of the champion Florida Gators are also said to announce that they will leave college to enter the draft. the four are Joakim Noah (last year’s MVP), Corey Brewer (this year’s MVP), Al Horford and Taureen Green. Looks like they stayed together and they also will leave together. This will be tough on Florida to rebuild after losing these guys but for the NBA this news is golden. For teams that won’t be in a position to draft Durant or Oden (if he declares), these Florida guys (especially the first three names) will be great consolation prizes.
