New rules on playoff rosters
The NBA Headquarters just made a lot of teams happy by allowing them to carry 13 men into the playoffs instead of just 12. Each team will have to designate one player as inactive one hour before tipoff. This extra man allows some flexibility in case of injury or a need of another man at a certain position.
In the old rules, an injury to a player would post serious problems at player depth and rotation for succeeding games.
