No he’s not a famous spouse of a Philippine dictator. Well for those who don’t know Imelda Marcos, the wife of the long deceased Philippine dictator Ferdinand Marcos, has a huge collection of shoes. Apparently Dwayne Wade loves to collect shoes too, Air Jordans and all. He has 1,000 pairs of shoes!
This piece of news just caught my eye since funny how it made reference to Imelda Marcos. Being a Filipino myself, it just cracks me up! On another note, it’s nice to know that NBA players have such interesting collections. Like who would have thought a guy like Ben Wallace, tough and strong as he is, loves to play with radio controlled cars and has a huge collection of them. I suggest he gets the Shaq radio controlled shoe car he came up with during the All Star Break. Such collections and hobbies send a message to fans that our favorite stars are human too.

How many athletic shoe companies are there left? It would be interesting to find out what shoe a particular athlete wears or endorses.
