Doug Christie Signs 2nd 10 Day Contract With Clippers
When veteran guard Doug Christie said he wanted to play again he really wasn’t joking. I haven;t been paying much attention to the Clippers lately so I never really knew the Doug Christie has been playing for them since Jan 31 when he signed a 10 day contract with them. News is Christie signed a 2nd one already and that means if the Clippers want to keep him after this 2nd one is up they’ll have to sign him for the remainder of the season. I think the way Christie went out was really unfortunate with all those injuries. They really started when he was traded to the Magic for Cuttino Mobley a few years back. Christie struggled to stay healthy and when he left th Magic to sign with the Mavericks he wasn’t long until an injury forced them to buyout his contract. I really hope Christie is healthy enough to at least end his career the way he wants it to. It’s really sad for those players who still have it in them mentally to play the game but the body just doesn’t hold up forcing them to retire. Maybe the Clippers could give him that chance.
