Dominique elected to the Hall
The Atlanta Hawks organization must be feeling kinda down in the dumps with yet another losing season. Aside from the losing record, they get hit by a lot of bad luck. They got hit by the tragic death of young center Jason Collier, due to heart complications. Some thought their rookie Marvin Williams, who was selected #2 overall in the 2005 draft, would be another bust because of his poor performance early this season. Good thing he’s showing a lot of promise now. They trade away under-achiever Boris Diaw only to become a very important piece for the Phoenix Suns success this season.
Good thing the Hawks have one thing to be happy about this season. Current Vice President of Basketball and All Time scoring leader for the Hawks, Dominique Wilkins has been elected to the Hall of Fame. ‘Nique was known as the Human Highlight Film for his high flying acrobatic style of play and his nasty dunks. He was the star of the Hawks in an era we could consider to be the last time we could mention the Hawks as a real winning team. Ever since Dominique left the Hawks have struggled to even make the playoffs. Hopefully with his winning attitude, he can transform the current team and bring them back to glory as a Hawks executive.
